I have a TC Hawkin on the way in the form of parts. A stock from ebay, 1 in 70 flint barrel from Track, and a flint lock from L&R. I probably paid too much for the stock, but it is supposed to be a never fired wall hanger. Can't wait for the parts to start coming in.

That's how my Hawken came to be. Stock and hardware from fleabay and barrel from track. My stock was a poorly finished kit so I did a total re-build. It's an amazing shooter now with the GM 1:70 barrel.
Have fun with yours!

Good luck with it.

I will be glad to post pics when everything gets here. This will be my first experience with an L&R lock. Are they reliable right from the box, or will it need a little tuning?

That will be a fine shootin rifle when you get it done. L&R makes a good lock, it should be good to go out of the box. Good luck with your project.

L&R locks are good ones. They don't need tuning, but maybe the stock(mortise).

Finally got all my parts. Got the lock inlet, but the drop in barrel dose not drop in. I'm gona have to widen the barrel channel just a hair.Just too tight at the end of the stock.

I finally got the barrel to fit the way I wanted. After a lot of sanding and steel wool I got the lock blued to suit me. I took it out today to light er off, boy that lock is fast. Ten shots at 75 yards grouped about two inches. So far no misfires.
