I have accumulated a half dozen or more percussion single shot muzzleloading rifles and pistols! I'm interested in shooting and hunting deer and possibly elk with traditional rb loads! I have all of the accessories just need to get back into the game! I previously owned one muzzleloader! A .54 Haken style marketed by Lyman!

Greetings!

Well then all you'll need is a good sized caliber rifle or gun, and an accurate load from the same. I've never taken a deer with anything except patched round ball.

I have two .50 cal both new! One is the percussion version of Lymans Great Plains rifle! I traded a TC Hawken in .50 cal straight across for same rifle in .54 cal! Just need to work up some loads now!

.... Conservatives control the majority of property and liberals control the majority of the votes currently!
Gotta wonder if maybe the concept of "one man one vote" needs to be rethought, especially with all these "asylum seekers" invading the country. But....that would be so far off topic (and politics as well) that no response is necessary (assuming this post doesn't get deleted). It's just really cool to have people from all over the country, and indeed all over the world, here in this forum to discuss a common passion: muzzle loading firearms.
