There is a guy in Fayetteville called Buck Buchanan...I have met him several times at
the Dixie Deer Classic, he has a booth there every year, promoting NMLRA, local NC shoots and muzzleloaders, he usually brings some really nice custom longrifles to the show...He owns a place called Fayetteville ArmsRoom, his card says you enter through Boulevard Pawn Shop, the address is 5301-1/2 Bragg Blvd...

Heck of a nice guy, he is into muzzleloaders and sells them, he can tell you plenty enough to get started.

You can buy a 'kit' of neccesary accesories from couple different gatalogs, Natchez is one supplier. contains bore brush, jag, patch puller and ball puller. A short-starter is handy for tight PRB's. Nipple wrench and spare nipple is a good idea. also a cap holder if you go w/a capper. Spent cartidge cases do good service as powder measures. An '06 case holds 70 grs. 3F. a 30-30 42 grs. a 300 Win. Mag holds 90 grs. and so on, Dixie catalog has a list in it of capacitys.

Welcome,
Good advice from the forum here for you. the popular vote seems to be with the TC. I started with an old cva mt rifle. nothing wrong with it, shoots good. I have been around alot of guns and such and cant really say anything bad about any of them outside of a few weak springs on cva hawkens just prior to them being discontinued. But they were made in spain, as is a lot of guns out there. Italy is another place where most of these are conceived.
The TC...American made, American owned, American Lifetime Guaranty.
..."nuff said!

Hey Matty,
the Lafayette Longrifles are going to have a shoot on Sunday, the 22nd. The range is located in Fuquay-Varina. A lot of guys from around the Bragg area will be there and there will be a number of different styles. Please let me know if you would like directions or more information.
