Howdy. This is actually my third post, but I figured I might as well get aquainted.

Name's Ryan Horst, and I live in the beautiful mountains of West Virginia. Grew up in the eastern panhandle, but now am living in Marion county, just north of center of the state. My family is of German heritage, which I find ironic as I've been told that German terrain is extremely similar to WV terrain.

I got started into cap-and-ball when my curiosity was piqued by reading about a Italian Saint named Gabriel Possenti using two liberated/confiscated 1851 Navy's to single handedly rid a town of over 20 rogue soldiers by firing only a single shot into the head of a running lizard (you should check him out, he's pretty cool). Bought a '51 (in traditional/historical .36 cal., of course) and loved it. My interest with revolvers stops at single action, though. Once double action came out, I'm a semi-auto fella.

Have recently gotten bit by the bug that makes me more interested in how our country was founded and the era in which it was forged. I consider myself a true patriot, and I hold all of our rights, 2nd Amendment most of all, in high regard.

Though I'm trying to persue a career in law enforcement, should "The Man" decide to oppress us common folk, I'd be up in arms and hittin' the woods as soon as I could collect my stuff.

I like to practice tomahawk and big knife fighting in my free time as I have recently decided that it's probably the best close quarters fighting style there is... and I took martial arts for 3 years. There's just something primal and fierce about the combination.

My friends and I are very traditional in our beliefs and morals, which is uncommon among people our age. We don't care though, because they're the sheep. ::

I'm engaged to a beautiful woman who is suppose to marry me in October of this year as long as I don't screw it up. She shares the majority of my interests, so that makes it easy for me. Haha.

So there you have it. That's me in a nutshell.
