Welcome to the forum DRB.A 72 sounds about the right caliber for your location.I was in Capetown a couple of times back in 86.Some of the best seafood and wine that I ever had was at the Hout(sp?)Bay Hotel.

Welcome to the forum...

I think you are our third member from South Africa... :hmm:

Member Hein is from Johannesburg, can't seem to recall the other's name... :hmm:

Thanks for the warm welcome!

Paul, your spelling is correct, and nothing has changed regarding the food and wine in Hout Bay...in fact things have got better!

Snake-eyes, I saw the Kodiak advertised in the local shooting magazine in SA (Magnum), and decided to purchase it sight unseen....only to find out it was still on the water from Italy. My understanding is that it will be in SA when I arrive back next week some time (I'm in CA at the moment).

I googled 'Kodiak Express' and found this forum...hence I'm here.

Also, forgot to mention that I purchased a stainless Ruger 1851 handgun....nice quality firearm from the looks of things.
Regards
Dave

Welcome to the forum. Good luck with your new guns. I wouldn't mind having a .72 caliber double rifle myself. Be sure to let us know what you think of it.
