The horned toad says we should go to Mexico.
Just finished this beautiful Tansel Powderhorn. 16.5 inches along the outside curve without the stopper. It features a sea scene on one side with a ship being pushed into the rocky coast, and the Boston shore on the other. 135 hand carved teeth, no Dremel's come out when doing these. It's finished a deep reddish brown with antiqued yellow.
The base is set in beeswax with antiqued tacks to hold it. It is airtight without glue. The base is turned curly maple with an antiqued swivel for the strap. The stopper is hand carved to fit. All the wood has been finished with Tung oil and then Renaissance wax.
The horn carries left best but can be on the right if needed.
Pictured is a matching curly maple display stand with buckskin pads. The stand is not included but can be added for a small fee. PM me if you need it, or if you have questions.
This one is offered up at $235 plus $18 domestic shipping, check, PayPal.
Thank you for looking.
