well you cut the lip off? I was liking that part, oh well, still looks good. question! why put the staple into the side of the horn (at the base) rather than into the plug? nothing wrong with it I'm just curious. :hatsoff:
 
Yeah, I cut the lip off, for two reasons: one, the lip cracked real bad when I boiled the horn to get it round, and it's a pretty small horn and just didn't look right to my eye. And the staple is here it is because it is where it is. :blah:
 
Man look at that strap. I love the look of wooven straps with the extra "strings" hanging on the ends! Great look horn! :thumbsup:
 
Mike , that came out really nice. You did a great job and i like it.

By the way, what kind of braid do you use for your horn straps 3 or 4????

Sorry this took so long, Ron, we bought another house and have been dealing with the realtor stuff.
I only know how to braid with three. I would like to learn other ways, but now EVERYTHING takes a back seat.
