All a dog wants is food, watered ,a dry bed ,and a little attention and to be petted or scratched and in return they give you unconditional love

Woodhick,
I get these same things from my basset. A neighbor lady(next door) told my wife that our
basset was a spoiled brat :hmm: My wife said you are absolutly right, but he is our spoiled brat,
thank you very much!!!!

Andreas, what you see here is a JAGH TERRIER, aka Jagh Terror! These dogs will climb the Empire State Building to get at a cat!

I have a buddy who had two of them. He lives out in the country. His two Jagh's went down the road about half a mile to a neighbor's house, tore through the screen door and caught two house cats :shocked2: . Killed both, and caused a major clean-up problem with dismembered cat scattered throughout the house! My buddie's comments: "if you get a Jagh, don't put your name on the collar because if there are house cats around you will probably want to remain unknown :rotf: . But these terriers make wonderful pets and are excellent with children.(I say this not from experience, but that's what I'm told).

I know from experience that two or three Jaghs will catch and hold a boar hog or a bear. My buddy proved that when he had his.

Leave it to you fellows from Deutschland to create something like Jaghs! If there had been one Jagh Terrier assigned to every squad of Storm Troopers on the Eastern Front and trained to attack Russkies, the Wehrmacht (or Heer-which is correct?) would have been looking for Ivan cowered done somewhere in Petropavlosk Camchatka :haha: .

undertaker, here's how my buddy answered that question:

"He gets down all by his self, usually by falling, hitting every limb on the way down, doing summersaults then finally landing with a thud. He hasn't been really hurt yet. He ends up with some cuts sometimes. And to top it off he has a bumb rear leg from being run over by a pickup."

:shake: :haha:

Funny you should mention that you have a Bassett. That is what I have , part Bassett part lab. He has webed feet and legs like a Bassett.
Looks like a freak but he has quiet the personality. I got him from the dog pound. They were going to put him to sleep so me and the wife went and got him. He has been a great companion ever since.
