Hello Forum,
I'm up here in Montana and just posted my first Forum question in the smoothbores about a 410 double I just acquired.

I've been shooting a Hawken 54 for about 13 years now and have been lucky enough to use it to harvest several whitetails back in my home state of Nebraska. I'm still shooting round balls and real black powder. My favorite load it 84grains of FFg, .530 round ball with a thick lubed patch. I have added a musket nipple because I couldn't get caps to be consistent in the deep freeze of winter deer season.

I just purchased a 410 from Scheels and am looking for all of the information I can glean from the pros on loads, supplies, etc.

If you are looking for pro's you've come to the right place. I'm not one of them but the real ones will be glad to help.

MThuntr,

I am snake-eyes:hatsoff:
