It has been awhile since I have posted anything. Been a crazy winter up here. Finished this knife yesterday. I forged it from a recycled leaf spring. The blade is 7.5" in length with a 5" handle. I used some quilted maple off an old gunstock project(not much of it left :( )with copper pins. The guard is wrought iron salvaged from a demo'd grain elevator in Duluth Minnesota. I stained the maple with aquafortis. The blade is normalized, hardened and tempered three times each. Not sure how to categorize this knife. A scalper? A camp knife? Anyways, thanks for looking.

Very nice! I like the knife. I've recently returned to BP and have an interest in making a couple/some knives for my daughter and me but I will need to just stick my toe in to start with - no forge or anvil and very little knowledge so far. Thanks for showing. baxter

Nice work!!
I am making a holster for that spike hawk. I'll carry it hunting this year.
