Made this from a reciprocating hacksaw blade, left the coarse teeth on the top.
Haven`t stained the handle yet.
Blade is 9 in, overall 13 in.

Nice lookin knife. And dual purpose, too. Good idea leaving the teeth on the blade.
Any ideas on the sheath??
I like the handle as it is, makes it looked aged.

Thanks Snagg.
Actually i got the idea about leaving the teeth on from Windwalker au, he posted a pic of his knife like that not to long ago.
Sheath, hmmmmmm i suppose it should have one of those, any suggestions. :)

I like it Pitchypine.
It reminds me of a longhunter knife.
It would come in handy for field dressing a deer.
You may want to get a patent on the design.
Ive never seen one before.

Thanks airborne, it really took a edge, even i got it sharp and i`m terrible at sharpening a knife.
I like the shape of it too, and that saw will come in handy for cutting off small branches when using my climber stand.

Very nice! I like leaving the teeth on the
top also. :applause:
snake-eyes :hatsoff:

Thanks Snake-eyes. :)
I put some red oak stain on the handles, i think like it better.

Thanks guys, seeing thats a metal sawing blade i used to make it i`ll be able to break out of jail with it too. :shocked2: :haha:

The knife came out great!

That's a great idea about leaving the teeth. I think I'm gonna try that. Been wanting a nice multi purpose camp knife.

Thanks Plink, i was wondering about a gaurd on it, did knives like that have tang gaurds?

When you say "did knives like that", are you suggesting knives in the past had teeth? I would think this is a modern concept, but I'm not sure.

No i`m talking about the piece that goes between the blade and the handle, can`t remember what it`s called. There is none on this knife.
I meant knives like this without the teeth on the back.
