New knife

Most slab tang knives didn't have guards put on them. It's kind of hard to do, since the full tang gets you a pretty wide skinny opening for the tang to pass though. Doesn't leave a lot of steel top or bottom. Also these knives were usually factory made for the trade. Well made, but they didn't waste time on fancies.

Thanks, that`s what i was thinking, how to get a wide slot in a small gaurd. That type of knife looks fine without one anyway. :)
