Wanted to introduce myself. I have been always fascinated with antique weapons from deringers to artillery. It helped that my dad started me down this path. I started with originals that I shot in the late sixties, joined an artillery unit with the sons of confederate veterans and ended here. Grew up Turner Kirkland with Dixie Gunworks, built muzzleloaders with Jack Gardners help. built several muskets with the Rifle Shoppe kit components. And how great are these Kibler kits? They can not be beat, Well done Jim. I have embarked down a rabbit hole with an early Parker Hale Whitworth rife, that I have yet to shoot. This forum is full of information that will keep me busy. I’am in my seventies with failing eyes no good place to shoot and I got a Whitworth. Let’s shoot.

Welcome from Pa. The 1960's Dixie catalog was 1/2 " thick sitting next to the toilet and for a kid it was prime reading material. Finally got to meet Turner Kirklin in the late 1980's. Very nice guy.

Welcome from Pa. I turned sixty last July and in my mind I feel like I am still thirty but my body tells me other wise let’s keep on shooting and building that’s what keeps us going.LOL
