I'm a new member to this group, but not to muzzleloading. My father built them for years and he was a good friend of William Buchele, Roy Vail and others. My dad passed away in 2014. I still hunt with a .54 Hawken style he build me back in the early 1970's when I lived in Montana. I look forward to sharing more information regarding my father's work and some information regarding both Bill and Roy. I have already enjoyed and learned from reading some of the posts I found here. Best wishes for the New Year to you all!

My dad's originally from Alpena county, is there anything Michiganders do different to their rifles with styling or color? I want to build one for him.
