Ahhh shucks, flattery will get you everything! You're correct, however, as a fairly new member myself, I agree with your assessment. This is indeed a great forum populated by friendly, knowledgeable folks and keepers of the wisdom.

My only connection with Germany is having served there for eight years in the Army, having had two children born there - one of whom died there - and an uncle-by-marriage, Micky Thomas [a version of his full German name that raised no eyebrows when he settled in North Wales after marrying my Aunt Ruby]. Sadly, he died way too young back, in 1968, aged two days past his 48th birthday. I miss him just about every day.
