Welcome. There is a small CT thread on here that "threatens" to do some BP shooting from time to time and I have gone to some of the shoots posted up in various places. Happy to see you here

Welcome from the Lake George, NY region. If you need a place to shoot, the Whitehall (NY) Fish and Game Club has a nice little range just over the border from Vermont.

Greetings from Colorado! I travel often to the SE part of CT. Check out Black Hart Long Arms in North Stonington. Ed makes some beautiful rifles.

If you don't mind may I ask the general area of the state that you are in? I am in Middelsex county about midway between Hartford and New Haven. Edit: just saw you listed NW CT. Beautiful area
I'm in Litchfield County, near the Mass. border. This is the view from by back porch, taken last spring, which was about the last time it really rained around here.

Buckskinquin, I've been shooting at the OSMLC matches this past season, and that was where I was shooting after the club in Ti closed. I plan to go to the Territorial at the end of Sept.

There are places as pretty and with different measures of geography and grandeur but in my opinion Litchfield County in fall is about as pretty a place as there can be.

I absolutely agree. I think it's in Canaan, Connecticut? A place called Robbins Swamp.
I used to bird hunt up there years ago. No place like it in the world.

It's beautiful! The winters do get a little dreary, especially if there's no snow.

Robbins swamp is about a 1/2 mile walk through the woods from me. Lots of wildlife in there, but my end of the swamp is pretty inaccessible. Huge snapping turtles, lots of deer.

I checked out the website for Black Hart Long Arms. Spectacular.
