I heard that, at least early on, they preferred flintlock carbines over percussion. Was told that this British Paget carbine was collected from a private house in NC about 1940. Now either it was left over from the War of 1812 or it came through the port of Wilmington for use against my great-uncle James Kelly.

.65 calibre, I have shot is when I needed something with a tough barrel, rather than my rifle with a screw-stock barrel. Kicks.
