New member here! Found this forum while doing a search for the Titus bass book series.
Looking forward to some conversation and learning something maybe.
Welcome from Comierado. That being said: always remember, anything you read on a forum, always take with a grain of salt. If it doesn't pass the smell test.....well you know.....sometime the info is great, and sometimes it won't hold water.

Welcome to the party (the mad hatter's tea party!) Seriously, there are some really knowledgeable folks here and most are very friendly. Do you a muzzleloader? If so, a picture would be nice.

Welcome from Idaho.

There was a discussion about it on here at some point because that’s how I found this forum. I did a google search about the book series and one of the links that popped up was to this forum and the discussion thread.

Very old, cheap hawker style. Nothing I would post about or put up pics. At one time I was talking to some AMM members and was invited on some outings but I don’t have the time to put into something like that that I would want to so declined but I would love to at some point but I’ve never acquired a quality black powder rifle but if I did it would probably be something period correct from those times.
long answer to just say no I realize…

Sir, if you have a muzzleloader that shoots straight and accurate, then you have a quality gun:).

ML48 beat me to it.! if you don't end up wearing your gun when shot it is a fine arm. even a hollow pipe is worth something if it makes white smoke!
i have a cva mountain rifle from the 70's that for sentimental reasons i am restoring. if i can find a mainspring that wont snap in half.
welcome to the forum where many strange things happen on the way here! :horseback:
i was on another prominent gun forum for years until it got so fractious that i couldn't stand it. so far this forum has been a haven.
