Hi! I'm also in North Alabama (Huntsville).

Looks like you like shooting Civil War-era firearms. You should check out the North-South Skirmish Association. We shoot black powder firearms from the era of the American Civil War in individual and team competition. We shoot revolvers, smoothbore muskets, rifled muskets, carbines, single-shot pistols, and repeaters. Of course, you only need 1 gun to participate - you don't have to shoot everything.

All of our weekend competitions (skirmishes) but one are held at Brierfield Ironworks State Park, which is just south of Birmingham. We typically shoot in February, March, April, June, August, and November. The November skirmish is held in Eva, TN.

We have a shoot coming up in less than 2 weeks - August 25-27 at Brierfield. You should come by and say "hi" and see what it's all about!
