Hello, looking forward to sharing information and solving the problems we face in these troubled times. I shoot a T/C 50 Cal Hawken, a 44 C and B Pietta New Model 1858 Army, and a 50cal Traditions Trapper. My favorite is the Hawken. It is truly, even compared with my modern buddies, my favorite rifle. I have taken Deer and Javelina with that pal. without getting to personal that's about it. I enjoy the black powder hobby, but Finding powder these days is a challenge as well as trying to communicate with Thompson Center after it was reacquired by the former owner, Gregg Ritz. I had some questions concerning the use of black powder substitutes. Oh well, On ward and Up ward!

Dear Rob Roy with a handle like yours you should be into Herring Butt Scots Snaphances ! These new fangled cap locks will never catch on ! Irrespective. welcome
Regards Rudyard who has hunted with such guns

I'll be walking around the pre-Christmas Oaks show with the un-fired CVA .50 Mt. Rifle I've got for sale. Any one else on here go to Oaks regularly? You know, the huge, regional show that has maybe two tins of overpriced caps in the entire place?

I will admit, I was not familiar with the Herring Butt Scots Snaphance. I looked it up and partner, that looks extremely interesting! However, I am still having trouble with my Kentucky Flint Lock kit Pistol. I know I messed it up somehow but I can't seem to get a spark out of that thing. LOL, must be the lose nut pulling the trigger, right? As for the new fangled cap locks never catching on, I agree! I have stock in Buggy whips I can hardly wait until the public wakes up and returns to the more dependable and environmental friendly horse and buggy transportation.
