Hi, I'm Chad Rivenburg. Introducing myself. Just picked up my first antique muzzleloader. I've been hunting with modern muzzleloaders for years. Hopefully I'll be able to restore this one and use it next season on an ohio whitetail. I'd like to get some help from this group identifying this one. Can't wait to participate in this group!! FWIW: It looks to me to be a Belgian copy of a French 1857 Pattern. Those were sold to the US Confederacy. Interesting musket.
