Howdy Folks,

Just showing off some photos of my recently finished 1858 New Model Army built from a Uberti kit. This was a bit of an interesting build in that I purchased the kit about 6 years ago and it always seemed to fall on the back burner. That being said I don't have a ton of pictures during the build, but just a couple showing it as I was prepping for rust bluing. The grips were fabricated out of mesquite and finished with Rubio Monocoat. I tried my best to give it a bird skull type of grip and it ended up being much more comfortable than the original (for me at least.) All bluing was accomplished using LMF and the "case hardening" on the loading lever was done using the cold blue and water trick. I'll come back and edit this post if I can find any more in progress pictures.
