A few days ago I stumbled upon a pretty good series called INTO THE WILD FRONTIER on the TUBI channel & might be on other networks as well.
Series is free to watch & must say so far the stories, narations, firearms & dress are pretty authentic other than their gear
doesn't show the dirt & wear of their wild adventures..

Most of the guys you see in there are not actors. They are regular guys like us that enjoy that lifestyle and do re-enactment, rendezvous, and such. So they bring their own clothing and stuff. Someone told me that and said some of that authentic stuff costs a ton so they try to keep it clean and take care of it. Would be a blast to be a fill in on a show like that. Some season 4 episodes were on YouTube as of a couple weeks ago. One was another episode about Jim Beckwourth. It was much better than the first episode about him.

Friendly service on Roku carries the cowboy channel that showz it. They also have wild west chronicals.

Tubi only has seasons 1-3... watched all those episodes... season 4 has 6 more so far, but I haven't started looking for them yet. I'll look for them on YouTube.

Been watching that series myself, very nice show, always searching for mountain man shows

The biggest issue I have with it is the modern western saddles they use. Not even an attempt at covering them or altering them.
