Many thanks
I am sure it will be a shooter.
It has a early green mountain Barrel that was stress relieved and it is 44 inches long.
I will post information after A good range day.

I like the Tennesee rifles. Very nice. I just aquired a rifle with a 44in barrel, and I love it. Just had to get used to loading with my elbows up in the air.

Very well executed, the man obviously knows what he's doing.

Exceptional work on the hardware and that is a very nice piece of wood.

I have been skipping these new gun post lately as most of the time they rehash the same generic stuff....I am so glad I did't overlook this one.

Enjoy it, J.D.

Very, very beautiful! I am a jealous man!
Looking forward to a range report.

A very nice and very early styled southern rifle. I'd say 1790s-1800. Is that what you were aiming for?
It reminds me of the Jos Bogle rifle, one of the earliest Tennessees in existance.

Sirs
Many thanks for all the kind words.
Yes Mike is a Heck of a builder He worked for Jack garner for Many years.
As of lately he has Been to Hershel houses woodbury school and each rifle is better that the last.
And his prices are very good. he forages all the Iron himself and he hand carves the stocks.

If anyone is interested I can put them in touch with him.
What he and I were aiming for was a early Tennessee/Watauga style rifle.
He is starting to build me a Matched pistol in 40 caliber to go with the rifle as we speak.
Again many thanks for all the kind words
Terry

I am sure I will have to Load this rifle with my arms Up in the air as I have a very long pull almost 15 inches and Mike said he had never made a rifle this long before.
"this dang rifle is as long as a country mile"

Very fine and enjoy.
Is that a chlorine treatment on the metal? Effect is nice.
Yes it is 1/2 water and 1/2 bleach I wanted him to brown it but he talked me into going this route and I really love it.

I need the same LOP plus I'm a lefty but what a difference it makes when shouldering the rifle when it properly fitted for you!
