New intro from a previous member. Originally joined in 2011-2022, was known as Tccowboy. Strangely enough my old posts are still on here but under a number heading. No option to just re-sign in and start back, so now I'm Tccowboy54 ;). Still in Southeast Tx and still shoot and hunt with traditional real muzzleloaders. Life got in the way a little while back and actually nearly ended a few times, and I went into a shell and lost interest in life in general. Funny thing though, life can bring you back full circle. There are other folks in this world now, my grandkids that give me joy, reasons to live, and someone to hopefully mold into quality people. They have shown interest in shooting, and they accompany me to "The Woods" Angelina National Forest, my sanctuary and hunting grounds. Any way I look forward to talking with you guys again about all things traditional black powder. I also promised myself no more putting off building my own flintlock, from a Kibler kit, SMR in 36 cal. I have a Ross Westgate 54 cal flintlock 1:65 built in an 1820 Pennsylvania Berks County style (Avatar). It is a fantastic rifle, but I want to build my own in a smaller caliber for the grandkids to shoot and keep them interested in what Paw Paw does. I also have an older Investarms Cabelas Hawken in .50 that I got in St. Louis in '09. That's it for now TC.

Howdy and Welcome from The Woodlands!
Glad you're still on this side of the pine needles! Grandkids will give you a whole new perspective on life!
And ...54 is significant to me, too, so we might have some things in common.

There are still lots of experienced folks here, and maybe folks that you knew previously, so ask any questions and tell any stories you have. Rebekah is a beaut, and I bet she has a connection to that good-looking mount on your wall. You have a nice kit on the wall, too. Everything you need for a trip to the piney woods.

And be sure to show us photos of you and the grandkids shooting and building guns. We LOVE photos!
Welcome, and keep your powder warm and dry. Looks like Canada will be visiting us next week... 🌬️❄️❄️☃️
