Hi, I live near Memphis and have been away from muzzleloading for about 15 years. I past years, I did the CVA Kentucky, flintlocks and smoothbores. About the time I could finally hit something regularly I'd make it more difficult.

At Fort Toulouse/Ft. Jackson in Alabama I was a member of the French Marines and Tennessee Militia. It truly was shining times.

For the last 15 years I have been Cowboy Shooting using cap & balls now and then, but now I'm hearing the call of the wild, and want to do some hunting with muzzleloaders. I'm too old and decrepid to sleep under a diamond on the ground. My shooting shoulder has been replaced, so I am raising money for a small bore to hunt some squirrels.

This forum has really got me stirred up about this, there is a lot of information here. Thanks for putting up with a New Old Guy.

 I love the way you think Ray(small bores and tree-rats(yum-yum) in the same sentence).Any questions, just ask away. Lots of knowledge and experience here and the most friendly group you could ever run across(they have been reteaching me all the stuff that I forgot). Hope that you visit often and share your stories with us. Again, Welcome

Welcome Ray,
Tried CAS (SASS) too, but all those guys like to shoot too much and have no time for fellowship or campfire palavering! Besides, those gongs and clangers aren't as good as those tree rats taken with a smokepole!
