Gday Folks, I picked up my Pedersoli Missouri River Hawken .50cal this morning after being on layby for about 6 weeks. Great looking rifle, can't wait to get out and shoot it. Still need to get the 450g mould and some FFg.... And need to resist the temptation to buy more Pedersolis while I'm buying that stuff!

Cheers, Otto.

at least one maker has gotten there ***** together. none of the american makers can hold a candle to them

Nice gun(s). Bet that was the longest six weeks wait of your life, but worth it...

I'd actually budgeted for it to be on layby for nearly 3 months but I got impatient and splashed the cash...

I'm very happy with it.

Cheers, Otto.

Is the mold for this gun? Do you plan on trying some PRBs in it?

Very nice looking gun!

Agree...unless it's 7 feet tall and can claw or bite back...PRB will knock it on it's boney butt!

Gday mate, yes the Pedersoli mold for this gun is 450g. It's a fast twist 1-24" barrel so it's going to like Minies rather than PRB I'd say.

Cheers, Scott.

Where have you been?.. There are many maker's who turn out beautiful Sam and/or Jake Hawken rifles all of the time for customers.

No kidding...you seen what goes through Track Of The Wolf's site? They can sell you kits, parts of finished rifles that are actually correct!

With all due respect!...Many makers and kit makers claim that they make the MOST AUTHENTIC and most do an excellent job. It's what a buyer wants in authenticity that counts!

Considering Don has the actual J&S Hawken in his possession from which the kit was reproduced, I'd say that's as authentic as one can get.

Um, no... It may be as authentic as THAT PARTICULAR GUN'S REPRODUCTION gets. How often do I have to repeat this for the self-appointed, holier-than-though, "I have a custom and want to prop-up-my-over-priced" Hawken experts?

There is no such THING as "the" Hawken rifle -- they were ALL custom!
