New Percussion Southern Style Rifle

I'm a new guy here who just bought a rifle from an awesome member here. He didn't have a whole lot of info on it, so I thought I'd post it up and see if anyone could ID anything about it.

It is an unfired southern style percussion .50 with an unmarked 38.5" barrel. The barrel attaches via two screws through the ramrod thimbles like the old Hatfields. There are no markings on any of the components, so it does not appear to be a factory rifle.

It should be here Saturday, and I can't wait to shoot it! I purchased it to use as a deer rifle and I'm already counting down the days until the season starts. Thanks for looking!

I'd never heard of them, but just looked them up. Seems like it was a neat little company.

Except for the butt, it reminds me a lot of my Pedersoli Blue Ridge/Frontier (which is a lot like the Hatfield). The barrel is attached in the same manner.

It does seem to have a lot of similarities. I wonder if this was just a popular style back in the 70's or 80's (or whenever it was built)?

Yeah, not sure. I will say that I like the barrel being attached by screws that way. It is not as easy to disassemble as a hooked breech, but is way easier than a pinned barrel and stock.

Rifle came in and it definitely looks like a defarbed Hatfield. Can anyone ID the lock? The hammer profile looks like a regular Hatfield or Pedersoli Frontier lock, but the plate kind of looks like a Siler (mainly that little raised "hump" on the bottom front of the plate. Any ideas?

Also, no idea on the barrel. No markings anywhere except "50 Cal" just in front of the nipple.
