I needed one of these myself, so I came up with a very slightly larger version with a few changes. Experimenting, I found a curved striker face to give a little better spark, more strength, and apparently more common on a historical basis. The pouch is also a tad easier to get into and repack. The pouch is only 1/4" higher, and 1/4" wider, but makes a great difference when using it. See what you think.

Just raw materials. Some 2oz carving leather from a bag maker friend, some 1095 steel I had, and pre-waxed linen thread.

If you decide to make some to sell, please look me up because I would be very interrested in buying one from you because I collect them.

That is pretty slick Wick. I think it even looks nicer with the curve.
