Fifty years ago , I saw an old original long rifle , with a cobbled up tang mounted peep sight. Just a piece of bent sheet metal , with a small hole in the upturned end next to the shooter's eye. Back then , I didn't think much of the simple peep sight , but when my eyes became 70 + years old , I installed one on my deer rifle. As bad as my eyes are , I could see the sights , and the target , with perfect clarity. It put me back in business again. ......oldwood
