I finally made the crossdraw holster for my revolver. Nothing fancy. I lined it with a small remnant of goat skin I had left over from another project.

Here is the pattern

I must know how did it shoot when you shot it outside or have you had a chance to shoot it outside yet.

Mine has the checkered grips. I’m using 28 grains of 3F cause that’s what my spout pours. I did use 454 balls loaded with an RMC press. Used CCI # 11 with a slight squeeze. At 15 yards all shots were in the 3in black bullseye. No ignition or other issues for 4 consecutive cylinders of 6 each

I am embarrassed to admit that the only thing I have shot all summer has been AR-15s and smokeless powder handguns! 😑💩 I do hope to get out soon and shoot my new BP revolver.

Update to follow after that.

Good night! That's a very tight group! Any shots off handed? Also what was the distance?
Very impressive either way!

The distance was about 15 yards (I didn't measure it). I was standing, with my right arm braced against the vertical post seen in the background of the picture with me holding the gun.

I could file a little off the front sight to raise the point of impact, but I am not going to mess with it. I will leave it as-is.

That is some good shooting there brother. If you POA was target center then point at the head and then POI would get center mass every shot. Nicely done.

😀👍👌

Yes, I held the sights to the target's center.

It sure seemed a lot colder than 20°. My fingers were freezing, but it was still nice to get outside and shoot.

I see the difference between the two holsters. Holster #1 is lined, the sitting angle is not as much as #2, also the grip and trigger guard are more exposed on #2. Still that is excellent work my brother. I would expect nothing less from you. I added a simple leather thong to your #1 and now it holds my brass framed 1851 Avenging Angel 3" barrel and 36 cal. I will post pictures shortly. Also i did a holster for my ( forgive me ) S&W MP40. Turned out ok, but i think i will work on a thumb break for the next one. Stay frosty my friend.
