New to black powder

Have no idea what I’m getting into. Trying to get into flintlocks for hunting. Located in eastern Pennsylvania.
Find a group near you. They will help you and cut your learning curve considerably. Consider joining the NMLRA (National Muzzle Loading Rifle Association) they can direct you to many resources.

Have a couple local buddies who already told me they will take me under their wing once I figure out and buy whatever flintlock I decide on. So I’m excited

Have you looked at the websites for Track of the Wolf, The Log Cabin Shop, or Dixie Gun Works. There are many more sites out there.
