I am now in the muzzleloader pistol game. I have about a dozen, or so, cap and ball revolvers but this is a first on the muzzleloaders.
Anyway I got a Lyman (percussion) Plains pistol in 50 cal and a Kentucky (flint) by Pedersoli in 45 cal. First look the Lyman is head and shoulders above the Pedersoli in fit and finish plus quality, at least in these two samples. It is snowing like no tomorrow so I have not shot either yet. Any pointers?

Your experience with c&b revolvers should serve you well with your pistols. Just don't forget that you have to reload after each shot (DON'T ASK).

Also if your like me you can take advantage of the snow--if you live in the country shoot out the service door of your garage. (thats how my dad got his deer last year).
