I bought a new 20 ga fowler ,shooting 80 gr of 3f and a .600 ball and .10 patch at 25 yds right and left is good and it will put them in a ragged hole. The problem is with the blade burried to the point I can hardly see it ,it still shoots low looking for some suggestons . Thanks

Whuh?

The blade "buried" where? If you LIFT the blade it will shoot higher. I have to put the rim of the barrel below the blade on the target I want to hit at 50 yards (no rear sight - just looking down the barrel). I'd be 6" low at 50 if I use the blade tip.

Methinks it is a learning problem. I am trying to learn to not shoot my fowler like a rifle. I have been to learn my "anchor point" for making my ball go where I want. Must confess, our daily 100+ degree weather had kept me in rather than outside shooting most of the summer. Still learning. Keep at it. Good luck.

The more of the front sight you can see the higher it will shoot.

Yes it does have a blade like the one in the pic it still shots a little low when I hardly see any of the blade at all .

What everybody is telling you is the more sight you see the higher it will shoot.

Think about it....you have to lift the muzzle to see the sight.

Lifting the muzzle causes the ball to strike higher on the target.

If you can only see the top tip of the sight then your muzzle is pointing down and your balls are striking low.

Try it.

Enjoy, J.D.

Yep. As I said earlier: I don't even look at the front sight. I put the curve of the barrel that is below the sight on what I want to hit at 50 yards when shooting round balls.

To raise point of impact you would file down the front sight. Since it's a fowler when using shot or round balls at 25 to 35 yards I don't sight - I point.

Thanks for the help I will shot tomorrow night and try that .
This is to much fun it shure is eating up my lead supply

Thanks for the help, shot last night used the whole blade dead on at 25 yds kept all 5 shots in a 3 in circle offhand , this thing is a ball to shoot can't wait till Ohio gun season !
