To further prove that I have the best wife in the whole wide world, she picked up this Viriginia Smooth Rifle for me at the Kalamazoo show. It's a Jack Garner, never been fired, .54 caliber smoother, just like I've been looking for. Jack used a really unique piece of wood too; those aren't artifical age marks, they're real weevil tracks. Can't wait to get out and run some powder through it when I get SOME DANGED TIME OFF!!!!

Beautiful Stumbuff...the rifle I mean!

I once spent 3 weeks tracking a herd of those weevils-now I know where they were hiding.

Stumblin Buffler- That's a nice smoothie, just in time to go turkey huntin' :redthumb:! You really must have a great wife. In all fairness to mine, she did "alot" me $350 to go turkey hunting and to SE Annual Rendevous next week :D. By the way, Wendy was born in Kalamazoo but left at the tender age of 1. She's always wanted somethin from the big "K". :hmm: Any chance of getting a Kalamazoo post card? :D

Wevil tracks?

I'd go with old house borer or powder post beetle, but Wood Wevils?

Yes! Them tracks is evil wevil wood wevils. ....much akin to the Keebler elves.

Stumblin Buffler,

You let her pick the wall color too!! I just couldn't resist. All that mountain man stuff hanging on a fuscia wall.

Old Salt

yikes! I didn't realize when we took that photo!! The wall is actually a deep red, the flash made it....yuck...

and ok, maybe not weevils....some kind o' little wormies

Very nice Stumblin, but you almost did'nt get it. I almost bought it Saturday, but instead got a 20 ga. Tulle fer 500 bucks. I was debateing between the two of them, and the Tulle won out. That and the fact I could spread my money further. I could hardly afford the parts for that price. I ended up leaving with the tulle, a 36 cal pistol., a Siler percussion lock, a new bag, linen thread, .610 ball, wads, and cards for 20 ga., and a few other trinkets, and empty pockets. I also left with the vision of the platypus hanging on the wall behind you, in a place of honor. With luck I'll be burning powder tomorrow. Boy, I was really tempted to buy thet smoothie. It's got a charactor of it's own, but it really belongs with you and the platy. Here's a pic of my tulle.

NICE tulle Bill! You missed a real sweetheart, though. Just went out and ran a handfull of lead through that little smoothrifle and buddy, she's a realllllll honey of a shooter. Lightning fast ignition...kinda like those...what do you call them? Craps? or no, caps..... :blah:

Glad you passed on her, she's happy at home with me! Hope to see you shooting that Tulle down at the Rondy!

Very nice smoothie Buffler! I picked up a 20ga from Jack last year. This year all I got to carry out was the wife's new outfit. :hmm: Guess if ya want to take a little ya got to give a little.

Maybe you could have a training class to show the rest of us how to get our wives to buy guns for us!    :redthumb:

Wow - you're a lucky guy! Nice looking smoothie. Very interesting piece of wood, indeed.

Hey 'Buff--

Don't leave the house if the fashion nazis are in the neighborhood!

Nice smoothie and most considerate spouse. May you (and she) live long and prosper.....

Yes Sir take that little lady out someplace special for dinner and a dozen roses wouldn't be a bad idea either!

Nice rifle Stumblin! Ought to go good with that Platta-Pussy hat!

Bill, you must live in a rough neighborhood if you have to use that to bolt your doors. Are all your doors like that?

It's only to keep the ole ball and chain outa my gun room  Hope she's not lookin over my shoulder. The barrels resting on another 20 guage with 30" barrel that's under construction. Actually the whole room's under construction, it being winter and all. No heat in the garage or shop/shed, so I reload compute, build guns, listen to music, and hide from her. My 9'"x12' hideout. Just me and the mess. By the way Stumblin's Smoothie is a beaut, got's lots of charactor, just like him. Bill

Hey Blue,

You know what's funny...that was just the first shirt I grabbed that morning. Not only am I wearing jeans with it, you can't see my ripped up, dingy Converse Chuck Taylor's covering my big old back paws!

The folks in town are getting used to me...I usually wear my ear-bobs and occasionally, just to mess with people, a nose-bob...

but that upsets my wife, so, I don't do it often.

:blah:
