Newbie from East L. A. (East Lower Alabama)

Been shooting black powder guns for about 50 years and finally decided to join a forum. I presently shoot a Pietta 1860 .44 Colt Army, a Euroarms 1863 Zouave .58 cal, a Uberti 1873 Winchester .45LC, and a C. Sharps 1874 .45-70. I will be starting to cast my own bullets and will be asking a bunch of questions.

I hesitate to ask this question because many may misunderstand the words I ask the Gentleman from southern Alabama if he's a Coonass. I hung out with the coonass of western Florida and East Alabama in my younger days. A little hard to understand their speech at times, but loved their spirit, simpleness, food, and music.

Thanks for the welcome. Not a Coonass , just a "good ole Southern boy". Most of the Cajun folks in Alabama are in the lower western part of the state in southern Mobile County around Bon Secour and Bayou La Batre.
