Hi to all....total newbie here.....i am eventually going to build a kit rifle.....don't even know which one....hence I am in the very early learning stage and looking forward to the wealth of info here..I purchased my first ever copy of muzzleloader today at my local bookstore...I am also a traditional archer, recurve and longbow....and fletch and crest my own arrows...

Hello Bob, welcome to the forum. There's TONS of into here, lots of opinions. You might want to find a black powder group in your area so you can handle and maybe shoot a cpl diff styles before you lay down the green backs.

I'd recommend a visit to Track of the Wolf website, just to window shop at first. There you can see many different styles and types of BP guns and find something that calls your name.

Most start with a reproduction made in Europe so they can start making smoke right away, then move to a kit. Don't bite off more then you can chew, or it may get old and tedious.
