Shooting muzzleloaders restores the fun back into shooting. Making your ammo as you need it is very entertaining , and the more you shoot , when you have to pick up a modern ctg. gun , your skills will be top notch. All shooting requires practice. Do it.

Happy to be here I am planning to purchase and learn to shot a flintlock rifle with my son so I will be asking alot of dumb questions thanks to you all in advance
No question is dumb.
Buying a flintlock you nothing about is dumb.

Please get a copy of Eric Bye's book from the NMLRA website; Flintlocks, A Guide To Their Use and Appreciation. It's in a 2nd printing and is full of good tips esp. for newbys. (I have no vested interest in sale of the book; just like it and recommend it!) Lg. format soft-back, about 30 bucks.
