Well I've had time to examine the rifle deeper and have some really pleasant news. I can genuinely confirm the gas piston on this rifle moves freely and falls right out of the rifle unassisted when the breech is removed. I honestly believe this rifle is unfired due to the old grease on the piston. The orginal instructions are also nice and give alot of insight to the intended loading. The rifle in general has sharp and defined edges on the metal and wood. The rifles lever, hammer and rear sight are somewhat stiff to operate indicating little use. Gluing and finish is 100%

I honestly wonder what this rifle could be worth compared to a Shilo.

anyone here who owns a garret have the orginal reloading supplies mentioned in the pamphlet that you could order separately?
