Greetings! Happy to be a part of this forum. Finally checked off a bucket list item. DGW Left hand Tennesse Mountain rifle in .50 cal. Now to figure out the flint thing. Always shot Hawkin style rifles. Sooo looking forward to learning some new skills!
Is that the Cherry-wood-stocked Miroku that Dixie had in catalog for years? It sold slow because of the Left Hand thing, but I have one and it's a beauty. Got mine several yrs. ago from Dixie, they had a sale, probably to clear them out; I had my barrel shortened somewhat; these are beautiful guns for the lefty. They weren't made in right-hand, always wondered how many were in the 'run' of them that Miroku did. Best of luck! I saw one several yrs. ago at a show, used, but didn't have dough to buy it, even though I had one at home. Would pick one up in a minute if another came along. Where did you get yours? Did Dixie still have 'em in stock?

:) Yep it's the cherry stocked one from Miroku from DGW. I found it on Gun Broker. They have a muzzleloading section. Snapped it up as soon as I could hit the keyboard. Dixie only carries a few small parts for them now. Just trying to locate black powder now. Slim pickings.

Check out Buffalo Arms in Sandpoit, Idaho. They've had Swiss in pretty consistently. But of a drive, but if they have it in well worth it. Also a great microbrewery (Mackduff's) with really good food up there

Hey thanks! I've been checking with them the last two weeks. This morning I found some Swiss at a place in VA. Shipping sucks but I have 10lbs on the way!!!
