Greetings.

As many of you know I have an old (1989) CVA '61 Navy Colt in .36 cal. According to the barrel stamp it was produced by ASM. I havent a clue what the threadsize is for the nipples, and in the process of restoring the kit I seem to have misplaced the old worn out nipples so I cant use them to compare. Non of my local shops seems to stock these parts (duh). Any ideas as to how (where) to get the right replacement part without buying a whole mess of the WRONG ones first?

ASM belt revolvers generally take a 12x28. Metric sizing would be M5.5x.9. Hope this helps.

I would have to double check my vendors catalog. But I believe they show some original nipples for that revolver.
The book is at my store and I'm home.
I'll bring it home tonight, and if interested PT me
and I will give you their pricing.

I'm going through the same thing, I also have an ASM that was made in 1985.

I contacted Ethan at track of the wolf and he said most likely 12-28 but also said some were different threads than that.

I wanted a nipple that would fit # 11 caps.

So to avoid the shipping back in forth since I had a 50% chance of getting the right one, I just sent him one of the originals and let him fix me up.

You could do that with just your cylinder.

But I would bet it will be 12-28.
