Hi,
I have a repro unmarked .44 cylinder for a Remington new army pistol. I use this in my original Remington. Anyway, I lost one of the nipples. Are they standard or do they vary by maufacture. Mine are 5mm @ the threaded end, I hope these have replacements.
Thanks,
Jerry

Are you sure about the 5mm (.1969 inch) size?

My Dixie catalog says the Uberti guns (except the Walker and Dragoons) use a 5.5mm (.2165 inch) X .9 threaded nipple.

Most of the other Italian reproductions use a 6mm (.2362 inch) X .75 threaded nipple.

zonie :)

The metric system and I don't get along :).
The threaded end fits into the #5 metric template at Ace Hardware, and is very loose in the #6 hole.
I figured this is 5mm. I'm wrong I guess.

D*mn the French and their Metric system

Zonie,
thanks for the inch spec.s.
They are 5.5mm as the fit quite nicely into a #3
drill gauge, (.213").
Thanks again
Jerry

God bless and preserve the English system

Ya, I know what you mean.
I once picked up a rock and a 8 inch long centimeter crawled off of the bottom. Boy, them bugs are creepy and if they walk on your bare skin it will leave sores that don't heal very fast!

A guy who was with me said it was a centipede but I know a centimeter when I sees it!!

And talk about millimeters! I squished a millimeter that was in my garden. That thing must had a million legs!

zonie
