I am going to by some new nipples for my Trapper. What is best, Ampco bronze or stainless steel? I am going to by them from Track of the wolf. I brooke my for two weeks ago, and have not find any gun store that have one. M6-1mm. I think i have to move to US.

I bought two pair of stainless nipples from cabelas and number 11 caps don't fit and CCI #10 are tight. What caps fit these nipples from Cabelas.

Have you try RWS 1055 or CCI no 11. I can use both, the CCI is just not that deep.

I think either the stainless or the Ampco will work fine.

I don't know that I've ever seen test results of a comparison between these materials but they both have a good reputation for long life.

zonie :)

So you mean that the 1055, is a little to big in dia? What about the 1075 or Selier& belot. But the Selier& belot is 4 mm, and the RWS is 4,47mm RWS have 2 kind of them 4,47mm. I dont know what that is that make the different. Maybe the height.

Pinching caps on makes me nervess and I don't want to be on the hunt for caps that will fit. Does anyonr have the Cabelas Nipples in stainless.

Maybe its more easy, to get some other nipples with the same tread, that you could easy find caps for.

I tried the CCI 10 today and they work fine, scared the hell out the dig thou.

greetings d 750,

if you have to move to the US, come on down, glad to have you.. we can always use another shooter.

Yes, that ll be the day. But i recon you have a lot more of them nipples. Well, today i did take a piece of a treaded bar M6-1mm, and put it up in my bench drill, have the drill running, and take a file, and shaped a end like the nipples have. Then i drilled a hole thru the hole thing, 0,8mm. And at last i enlarge the hole at the cap end a little, maybe 2 mm. Work just fine. Now i can shoot, while i am waiting for my new nipples.
