HI GUYS, would you tell me if the threads are the same on a 1860 uberti colt and a 1851pietta colt thanks RON P.S.I ordered a 51 colt civilian from cabellas and waiting on ups.the nipples i have fit #11 CAPS&the ones on the 51 are#10

As Italian made, they should generally have nipples in M6 * 0,75 mm.

But no rule withput examption. With designation as advertised in germany and procuctions running ver decades, there are sometimes little differences within the weapons.

The Pietta should have M6 *0,75 mm, or M6 * 0,75 RS

The Uberti might be 12 * 28 UNF or M6 * 0,75 RS.

When I need new ones for my Pietta Neumann R&S, I'll take him to the shop and just prove, if the nipples fit. I have five percussion muzzle loaders and four differnet sorts of nipples necessary.

I have an Uberti colt about a year old, and the nipples are 12- 28. I use Treso nipples and #10 Remington caps. CCI #11 will work too, but not as well.

Nope, they're not the same. The Uberti 1860 uses 12-28 nipples. The Pietta needs 6x.75mm nipples.
