NMLRA Matchlock Shoot

The shoot is on for April 1st & 2nd. Said event will happen on John Buck's homestead at 1300 Turkeycock Mountain RD, Callands, VA 24530, Phone: (434) 724-1607 Prefers contact by phone

To John's surprise, the NMLRA jumped on board quickly. He was thinking of a fall, October event. So, it probably will be a small turn out for this year.

There is a movement to create a Mid Atalantic Team. Interest has been expressed by individuals on New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Maryland.

I have 2 problems:

1. That date is the start of turkey season and I have spent many hours scouting for them.

2. I do not yet have a matchlock. (What do you suggest as a home built matchlock?)

Man I wish I would have known about it sooner. It is just too short of a time away to get the trip togther for me. Hopefully it becomes a yearly event so I can do it next year. Have fun and burn some match.
