NMLRA member here for 3 years now. I joined just to shoot their annual Postal Match at my local range. It is too far from here in Ohio to visit the range in Friendship for their shooting events. I have only gone there once.

Have been for several years. Our club here in Northern Kahlifornia applied for charter status, and most of us joined to support that effort. Certified Field Safety Officer to help keep our shoots safe. Friendship might as well be on the moon regarding ever going for a shoot there, but supporting the shooting community is as important as it ever has been.

2 years a member. My work takes me near Friendship about once a month so it is nice to go over and buy powder. I have been to the last 4 Nationals. I have never shot there, just spend a lot of money with the vendors. Looks like the Primitive side is about dead and that is sad because it is where my interests lie.

I almost agree on thr primitive side. Spring shoot I thought why bother but the fall shoot had twice as many if not more tents. Can always have many more of course but i was happy to see many more tents in ths fall shoot. Just my free thought.

I agree. I am in georgia so maybe 500 to 800 miles depending on where in the state you live to travel. Did the same, started a charter club, got more members for the nmlra. How did you get a certified field safety officer? That has been one of my issues, only way i know to get certified is go to friendship and work their shoots. State and territorials are going away as you must haver certified RSO's and if you cannot travel there to get certified no sponsor shoots.

The crowds are definitely getting smaller….🙁

Member 1978-1998 then the leadership turned it into the Need More Loony Rules Assn. Rejoined 5 years ago to see what has changed. Not much. Since Muzzle Blasts and Muzzleloader Magazines are the only publications left I remain a member to get the magazine. About the only thing I consistently find of interest any more is Fred Stutzenberger's most excellent articles. If they ever put together an Omnibus of all his articles I'd buy it pre-publication.

Thanks for the person who mentioned MB Online. Been away from home for a while and forgot about that feature. I will use it for some catch up reading.
