I have attended the NMLRA Shoots in friendship a number of times, but I have never arrived on the opening day.

How bad are lines to pick up badges and how is parking if I arrive around noon on opening day?

Barry

Hello Barry. When I came down for the first day I made it a point to get there early, 08:30 AM. The traffic gets congested. Parking lots get full, and the crowd builds up as the day goes on. Long lines waste my time.
The last two years my wife and I have been bringing our trailer and we enjoy having the time shop, shoot and relax. We plan to be there on Friday.
I hope to see you at the woodswalk.

The only time ive been there when it was not crowded was "closing time" on the last day.

Barry, we will come in around 11 am as well and did so last year. The traffic is slow, but the camping registration and shooter registration went quite quick. We also want to make it to the woodswalk in time, but I have a 9 year old with me and think we will make it...

I think I will just arrive early like I normally do and just kick back in a chair until the woods walk

Looking forward to taking that plate home with me this year.

If you shoot like you did last year, with that new rifle, you might just do it. Good luck Barry..

Unfortunately, I have not been able to practice much the last few months so we shall see :) Competition is pretty stiff with this group!

I did make myself a new shot bag which should help the rifle shoot straighter.

At it's worst each line may be 10 people long. They will have two clerks working. Everybody seems to be happy to stand in line and chat and visit. Not like other lines I've been in.
