I'm pretty sure this isn't even close to original, but it's an awful nice piece, and I would really llike to know about it. Any and all help is really appreciated.

I got it from a co-worker. No markings as I can see. Maybe under stock or somewhere I don't know where to look.
Look under the barrel to see if the maker marked it. I've found maker marks in many places on a rifle, one time I found a piece of paper under the butt plate with a name and date.
 
Yes, that is a Siler lock. The trigger is a single set of contemporary manufacture. The rear sight is also contemporary.
That is probably a very useful rifle for competition or hunting, hope the bore is ok.

Looks like the drum has had an attempt being made at an replacement or the hammer strike angle being adjusted. Probably a pre-carved stock assembled at home.
