I used to use the original Lehigh Valley lube for a patch lube and loved it. When I ran out I searched around and tried various combos of lubes. I use Hoppes Black Powder Cleaner and Lube for a while now for a patch lube. As roundball said, wet the patches with it and shoot all day with no wiping, and the last shot loads as easy as the first. After shooting I take a clean patch soaked with the lube and wipe the barrel and the patch comes out gray, not black.

I've only tried a few lubes and am no authority...but so far, Hoppes PLUS BP is the best liquid lube I've ever used at the range.

Roundball, all is well for the range in hot, warm, cool weather. What do you use when shooting (either range or hunting) in cold weather?
