Northeast US Winter 2006 Primitive Biathlons

Nope, this is not the Olympic-style 22LR target rifle and cross-country ski biathlon ... these events involve the use of muzzleloading rifles (shooting patched roundballs) while running anywhere from 1 to 2 miles through a wooded (and hilly :blah: ) course while wearing wooden snowshoes.

hey mowrey50, the new york state muzzleloaders biathlon is being held MARCH 11 & 12 2006 at the SARATOGA BIATHLON CLUB..hope this helps! RC

Good Work Mowrey, To forum members, make the time to try the biathlons, the people are great,everyone is helpful, most walk just for the fun of the event and it's a blast!

Boy they are coming up sooner than what you think. I did have alot of fun at Smuggler's Notch a while back. Did get a good case of bronchitis out of it , but it was fun anyways.
